After the mysterious deaths of two baseball players for the Brooklyn Badgers, Captain America agrees to pitch for the team in order to draw the murderer out of hiding.; Embittered because the Police Chief believes Torch to be yellow because he failed to bring in the Sub-Mariner, the Torch races off to repair some of the damage Namor caused. He meets up with Betty and together they head for the Empire State Building where the Prince has been spotted, and once again drives Namor away.; The police concoct a plan to use police officer Betty Dean to lay a trap to capture the Sub-Mariner, but instead she convinces Namor to fight for the Allies in the war.; John Cartwright, an auto executive, pretends to betray the human race to the invaders from Atlantis.; On Christmas eve, the first group of astronauts to land on Mercury encounter a group of friendly telepathic aliens who make them a Christmas tree.; A man from an advanced civilization without crime or war robs an old man and is sentenced to six months on the prison planet. Only a few moments on this horrific world wracked with war, crime and disease make him resolve never to commit another crime rather than risk ever again coming back to Earth.
